出自圣经 哥林多书 13章第8节：Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 爱 是 永 不 止 息 ． 先 知 讲 道 之 能 、 终 必 归 於 无 有 ． 说 方 言 之 能 、 终 必 停 止 、 知 识 也 终 必 归 於 无 有 。再简单点讲，真正的爱是不会停止、消失的。而其它的东西，象 先知布道，语言能力，和知识等，终有一天都会终止。
